Ilayathalapathy Vijay is all set to bounce back with his 51st film Kaavalan, directed by Siddique (ofFriends fame). Interestingly Kaavalan is the remake of super hit Malayalam film Bodyguard, with Dileep and Nayantara in the lead roles. "Unlike Vijay's recent films, there won't be any hero introduction song in my flick. You will see a new Vijay in this film; he'll leave a lasting impression on the minds of audiences with his romantic image. The film is a love story but told in a different way," director Siddique said recently. Vijay and Asin, the famous duo of Kollywood, are back on screen after a gap in this film. The duo was earlier seen in Pokkiri and Sivakasi, which did wonders at the box office. Later Asin migrated to Bollywood and found success with her debut flick, the Aamir Khan starrer Ghajini. Kaavalan narrates the story of a young man, who is highly fascinated by the lives of brave and daredevil goons. He grows up admiring powerful men and aspires to be a bodyguard. Meanwhile he saves the life of a don at a crucial juncture and gets a new assignment to escort his daughter to college as her bodyguard. To poke fun at him, the daughter starts making prank calls to him, pretending to be a girl infatuated by him. But things get serious after a while. What happens next forms the rest of the story!
