VIJAY'S THREE-DAY CALL SHEET
The Ilayathalapathy has endorsed several brands in the past like Fanta, Coca Cola, and Joy Alukas. This proved he has a keen interest in endorsing the brands that he likes. The latest to join this list is a telecom company.Vijay has been approached to endorse a telecom brand and has been paid about 5 crores to appear in the advertisement, sources in Kollywood say. The star is expected to complete his current film assignments and shoot for this ad. He has allotted a three day call sheet for the purpose.
The stars are showing interest in acting in commercials because it requires very less of their time and fills up their coffers fast.
Who is Vijay's Heroine? (Vijay New Film)
There were a lot of name doing rounds on who will play Vijay's lead lady. Many said it is Sonam Kapoor. Some said it is Priyanka Chopra and a few said Kingfisher Calender girl Angela Johnson. We are not sure if any of these feature in the movie but the lead role will be played by Priya Anand of 180 fame. So we are to see another new heroine pair with Vijay after Velayudham (Hanshika) and Nanban (Ileana). A pleasant change and every one would welcome that.
The Vijay - Murugadas - Harris - Priya Anand film will start its shooting from October. VFN wishes the entire team a good luck and give a blockbuster.
Sameera opposite Vijay?
Gautham Vasudev Menon, even as busy filming his first trilingual venture 'Neethane En Ponvasantham', seems to have zeroed in on the heroine for 'Yohan Adhyayam Ondru', his maiden film with Vijay.
If sources are to be believed, Gautham's 'favourite actress' Sameera Reddy would share the screen space with the Ilayathalapathy in this big-budget venture, which is set to hit the floors by early 2012.
"But an announcement is kept under wraps since Gautham wants to complete Neethane En Ponvasantham, before shifting focus to Yohan Adhyayam Ondru. Vijay too is happy to have Sameera on board," sources say.
Sameera was the leading lady of two of Gautham's earlier movies- 'Varanam Aayiram' and 'Nadunisi Naaygal'. In an interview earlier, the actress mentioned that she would act in a film without even listening to the script, if it is directed by Gautham.

Diwali 2011 battle to start in monthdiwali 2011 vs 2007
The three Tamil films which have announced a Diwali release are- 7aum Arivu, Mayakkam Enna and Velayutham. Plus Shah Rukh Khan's RA. One is getting dubbed into Tamil and releasing along with its Hindi version. Simbu starer Osthi doesn't having any official confirmation yet, but it was said to release for Diwali.

Theatre booking has started in earnest, and the fight is to get the maximum number of screens in Tamil Nadu. It looks like Red Giants and Aascar Films producers of 7aum Arivu and Velayutham respectively are directly booking the theatres. Aum Films Mayakkam Enna is being distributed by Gemini Film Circuit.
The battle looks similar to 2007 Diwali when Vijay's Azhagiya Tamil Magan, Suriya's Vel and Dhanush's Polladhavan clashed. At that time, all the three were not so huge in terms of mass appeal.
Today, all the three heroes have a global reach, and it will be as trade says "the mother of all battles".
The market will heat up closer to release date, as all the three producers are keeping their marketing strategy under the wraps. This time, promotions will be huge as all of them want to attract the youth audiences. Everything depends on the number of screens and the opening.

Kollywood grapevine is abuzz that Vijay has been approached by a leading telecom brand of the country who have offered him a whooping 5 crore for being their brand's face. The actor has reportedly given his nod for this as well!
It is quite known that Vijay is choosy about the commercials he chooses to be a part of and has only appeared in a leading soft drink advertisement and a jewellery ad predominantly. But the telecom brand and the offer seem to have appealed to the actor who has reportedly given his nod.
It maybe mentioned that Madhavan was seen in Airtel commercials in the past, while Suriya currently represents Aircel and brother Karthi endorses Airtel in south India.

நண்பன் வெளிவராத தகவல்கள்
தீபாவளி வெளியீடு என்று ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்ட படம் தான் 'நண்பன்'. ஆனால் விஜய் நடிப்பில் உருவாகி இருக்கும் 'வேலாயுதம்' படத்தின் தாமதத்தால் 'நண்பன்' எப்போது வெளியிடப் போகிறார்கள் என்று தெரியாமல் இருந்தது.

Vijay, Hansika, Genelia starrer Velayudham is busy wrapping final part of shoot in Srinagar. According to the schedule the team will be completing the final song shoot by today evening. Meanwhile the talkie portion of the film has completed its editing and the song which is getting canned has to be included and the first copy will mostly get ready by the month end.Buzz is that the film is made with a whopping budget of Rs 48 crore, and this has set a record in Vijay’s career by being the costliest film in his career till date. Especially the introduction song of Vijay is shot with a huge amount of Rs 2 crore. Vijay plays the role of a milkman while Hansika and Genelia will star as his love interests in the film. Only then he gained political significance.""Even after he had to take a stand in the recently concluded Assembly elections, we stood firm our position that the movie should not have any political tone. It will be a complete commercial entertainer," the director adds.
At the same time, he also says that 'Velayudham' would take Vijay's image to the next level. "The story would boost him as destroyer of evil and protector of good things. The film would be a delight for Ilayathalapathy's fans," signs off the director.

Velayutham Exculusive news for vijay fans
Vijay's upcoming film with director M Raja is in top gear and nearing completion. Sources close to the film's team have revealed that the team, all inclusive of its lead stars along with their captain, have left for Kashmir where a song will be shot in the picturesque landscape of the Dal Lake, Srinagar. This is the only song that needs to be completed, and once it is done, the entire film's shooting will be wrapped up.
The song will be filmed with the lead ladies in the film Genelia and Hansika vying with each other trying to flirt with their sweetheart, in this case Vijay, according to reports. This film which sees Vijay as a superhero has created a lot of flutter amidst his fans, who have never seen their icon in such an avatar, who are eagerly waiting for the film to release.
Sources also indicate that the shooting of this song, which was originally planned to be shot overseas, will be wrapped up in a couple of days after which the director will give all his attention to completing the post-production work and readying the film for a Diwali release!

The movie is inspired by Chetan Bhagat's novel, and showcases ones perspective towards career, pressure from college authorities and family members and a lot more. It's more like a laugh riot with a serious social message.

'Velayudham' is going to be special for Vijay and his fans for more than one reason. The costliest ever Vijay-starrer, the film directed by 'Jayam' M Raja has 15 villains to cross swords with the Ilayathalapathy. And three of them are from Bollywood.
"The three north Indian actors who would play baddies in Velayudham are Sayaji Shinde, Vineet Kumar and Abhimanyu Singh of Rakhta Charitram fame. Though there are 15 villains, every one of them will have their own space," say sources in the know.
Select members of the cast and crew of 'Velayudham', including Vijay and heroines Genelia D'Souza and Hansika Motwani, are currently camping in Srinagar to shoot a song ('Molachu moonu ilai...').

Ilaya Thalapathi's 'Velayudham' is set for a Deepavali release .Thameens is releasing Velayudham in kerala ,more than 100 theatres.and the action packed thriller is one of those movies, where the common man is forced to take responsibilities and whack the goons up, for the common good.Ilaya Thalapathi Vijay, who plays Vetrivel in this movie, leads a life of peace in a village, with his younger sister, played by Saranya Mohan. Jeyam Raja compares velayutham with Rajani's Baasha
The film has been set to score by Vijay Antony and has been produced by Ravichandran’s Ascar Films. “As such, equal footage has been given to both the heroines. Though sparks flew between them at the shooting spot, there weren’t any verbal duel or the case of both of them looking away from each other. The ‘ego’ problem was very much there but didn’t go beyond our limit,” said Raja.
Genelia’s last film in Tamil was Uthamaputhiran opposite Dhanush which didn’t do exceptionally well at the box-office. On the contrary, Hansika is quite happy at the way her last film Engeyum Kaadhal fared at the box-office. Both the heroines are praying for Velayudham to become a super-duper hit to resurrect and sustain their respective careers.
Speaking about the film, Raja further added that but for a solitary song, the shooting has been completed. He likened the film to Rajini’s phenomenal hit Baadshah when he said that Velahudham to Vijay would be like Enga Veettu Pillai was to MGR and Baashha was to Rajini.
