Vijay has a new fan base

Vijay has become hugely popular in Kerala. This was evident when he was in Kochi for the trailer release of Velayudham. Fans arrived in droves for a glimpse of him and even the roads were completely blocked! Vijay was overwhelmed with the response we hear.
Later while talking to the press, Vijay said that he loves Malayalam movies and the realistic touch that is so deftly employed in them. Personally, he is a fan of Mammooty and Mohanlal he revealed. He also said that he would love to do a Malayalam film someday.
