Udhayanidhi Stalin and Ilayathalapathy Again

Few months back, there was a sort of hostility prevailing between both Ilayathalapathy Vijay and producer Udhayanidhi Stalin of Red Giant Movies that left them in bitter terms. But it turned to be a big surprise and perhaps headlines as the personalities came together in friendship.

Producer Udhayanidhi Stalin has tweeted saying that met actor Vijay after a long time. Guess who was responsible for the meeting? It’s none other than actress Hansika Motwani and Udhayanidhi has thanked her ardently.

It is worth mentioning that Hansika Motwani is sharing screen space with Vijay in ‘Velayudham’ and Udhayanidhi Stalin ‘Oru Kal Oru Kannadi’ that are scheduled to hit screens shortly.

Velayutham Special - First Look

Suriya’s ‘7am Arivu’ to clash with Vijay’s ‘Velayudham’ for Deepavali

Actor Suriya’s upcoming film ‘7am Arivu’ is likely to clash with Vijay’s ‘Velayudham’ on Deepavali.  The two stars, who starred together in films like ‘Friends’ more than a decade back, are all set to vie with each other for garnering the public’s attention on 26th October this year.
While ‘Velayudham’ has Genelia and Hansika opposite Vijay and has been directed by ‘remake’ king ‘Jayam’ Raja, Suriya’s ‘7am Arivu’ has been directed by the diminutive A.R. Murugadoss and pits the debutant Shruti Haasan opposite Suriya.  ‘Velayudham’ is said to be a wholesome commercial entertainer whereas ‘7am Arivu’ would be a never-before kind of film in Tamil cinema.

Suriya plays the triple roles of a scientist, a Buddhist Monk and a Circus artiste in the film which has been set in various periods of time.  The talented and pretty Shruti Haasan would also be making her much-awaited debut in this film as a heroine.  With her looks and grace, she would surely be luring the Tamil youths in the days to come, predict observers.

‘Velayudham’ re-take & then to Post Productions

The shooting for Jayam Raja’s superhero subject ‘Velayudham,’ which sees Ilayathalapathy in the protagonist’s role had wrapped up shoot a few days back with the post production work going on in full swing. Now recently the core team of ‘Velayudham’ met in Puducherry according to sources.

The reason for the meet was to record a stunt scene involving Vijay and the baddie. While the shoot for the team was over earlier, the director seems to have felt the need for a retake to retouch some of the stunt scenes, and hence the shooting. The shoot took place as a one-day schedule and was wrapped up towards sun down the same day.

With ‘Velauyudham’ being confirmed as a Diwali release and with the music by Vijay Anthony becoming a huge success, the fans of Ilayathalapathy are more eager than ever to see their matinee idol act, romance, dance and fight baddies on the big screen. ‘Velauyudham’ will be Vijay’s first attempt at approaching a superhero subject.

Vijay in and as ‘Velayudham’ will be sharing screen space with Hansika Motwani and Genelia, who will play his heroines, and Saranya Mohan will be his sister in the film. We will get back with more interesting updates as the clock keeps ticking towards the release date.

Veteran Malayalam comedian Indrans is playing a comedy role in ace director Shankar's much hyped Tamil film Nanban, remake of the Bollywood blockbuster 3 Idiots.

According to the actor, though the role is not a meaty one, he is proud to be associated with such an acclaimed director and his team. Indrans plays an assistant to the professor, played by Sathyaraj. Notably, Nanban is his first film outside Malayalam.

Talking about his director, Indrans said: "Sankar is no bossy director but he knows how to get the best out of every actor. I was tense working with a man of his stature, but he was totally chilled-out and made every one feel at ease."
