Nearly before a month, the scenarios were completely different as the big tickets were almost confirmed for the Diwali release. However the time-lags post production works and few other factors determined its release away from Diwali race.
Much prior to the filming schedules would kick-start, Kamal Haasan and K.S. Ravikumar assured that they will release Manmadhan Ambu for Diwali. In all likelihood, Vijay’s Kaavalan too was on the same motto, but got delayed due to Asin’s busy call sheet schedules with Hindi project.
During the audio of Rattha Charithram, Suriya had openly announced that they are trying to release the film for Diwali. But again, Ram Gopal Varma and Dayanidhi Azhagiri decided to release the film along with second part of Telugu and Hindi versions on November 19.
Finally, it’s Dhanush starrer ‘Uthamaputhiran’, Udhayanidhi Stalin’s ‘Mynaa’, Cloud Nine Productions’ ‘Va Quarter Cutting’ and Arjun’s ‘Vallakottai’.
It will be an interesting exhibition in box office as for the first time it’s all about low and medium budget movies scheduled for release during festive occasion.
